Platelet Rich Plasma And Platelet Rich Fibrin
At MAC BEAUTY CENTER, we are excited to offer Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), the latest revolutions in transformative cosmetic procedures. Many who seek safe, non-surgical options for rejuvenation have caught on that these exciting technologies are powerfully effective and 100% naturally sourced. Unlocking the power of healing and restoration in your body’s own cells, PRP is used for skin rejuvenation, tissue strengthening and promoting healthy, vibrant hair growth, while PRF has been proven effective as a healing aid.
When used for cosmetic purposes, PRP may be used to treat under the eyes, forehead, nasolabial folds (smile lines), jaw line, neck/décolleté as well as deep wrinkles, to stimulate collagen regrowth. This leading-edge therapy can also be used to treat aging skin all over the body, including the knee area, thighs, arms, stomach, and genitals, making it one of the most versatile treatments we have.*

PRP is now commonly used topically along with microneedling to enhance penetration into the skin. It can also be injected into the skin in the same way as dermal fillers (known as vampire facial injections).
Considered to be second-generation PRP, Platelet-Rich Fibrin also utilizes your body’s natural healing abilities. PRF is a recent development in the world of platelet- rich treatments, which skin care therapist, plastic surgeons and dentists enjoy using due to its ability to respond directly to injuries in the body. Although it has many similarities to PRP, it contains higher levels of the blood protein, fibrin, and specific white cells. Consequently, PRF is believed to generate longer-lasting results because its fibrin matrix traps platelet cytokines and other growth factors to release them gradually over time. PRF can also be used to form resorbable membranes used as scaffolding in facial or dental surgery.
